When I started my own business in 2013, getting on camera meant hiding my age, my weight, and scarring alopecia under a hairpiece. I built confidence the way I now teach it: faceless videos first, then the corner of the frame, then opening the video, then direct to camera. In 2020 the pandemic made the hairpiece impossible to maintain. I shaved my head and posted the video before anyone could ask questions, the last insecurity, gone on my own terms.
